Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, what financial impact does implementing a Section 504 plan have on a school district? It documents one educator's search to see what is being done in school district in Minnesota in relation to implementing an unfunded federal mandate like Section 504 plans. The author documents the details of this research by looking at the history of Section 504 policy and current legislative requirements. She explains in careful detail the struggles that Minnesota school districts are continuing to have with the implementation of Section 504 plans and the need for oversight and education in this area.
