Abstract
The question that was used to research this capstone was, what changes do teachers believe could affect summer learning loss ? This capstone documents the research one teacher took to thoroughly investigate the evidence of summer learning loss of students in the researchers school building. This research consisted of NWEA test scores as well as surveys posed to educators and their ideas. The research was documented by the researcher as well as research literature to convey pertinent information about the ongoing struggles of summer learning loss. The researcher conveys the outcomes reached through his research and concluded: 1) Summer learning loss is a great problem that we must deal with 2) the consensus of resolving the summer learning loss crisis was a dramatic change in the school calendar.
