Abstract

The research question addressed in this project was, how do I develop and facilitate a curriculum for teachers to educate their fourth grade students on cyber-bullying? The rise of bullying among middle school students with electronic media, termed cyber-bullying, was the key influence behind this curriculum development project. The author applied the current research on cyberbullying, the WebQuest lesson format, and best practices for professional development to create a student led unit in a WebQuest format as well as a teacher web page to aid the fourth grade teachers in introducing the lessons. She includes the struggles and successes of creating the unit as well as plans for implementation and evaluation.
