Abstract
The goal of my capstone was to answer the question: What are the effects of integrating the CHARACTER COUNTS! character education program into a physical education curriculum? In my pursuit of finding a conclusion to this question, I decided to conduct a case study. I used several different methods in my case study that include: teacher and student surveys, student interviews, and observations. The results of my case study proved that integrating character education into the physical education classroom is very effective. Along with the surveys and interviews, the students were able to show me through their actions that they were learning about the selected character traits. I also found the behaviors of the students to be much improved when I reviewed the results. Character education has been a great addition to our physical education curriculum.
