Course Description
TOPICS: The Writing Life Monday: 12:40 – 3:40 pm This course introduces undergraduate students to major aspects of creative writing publication and promotion: submission to literary magazines, author interviews, book reviews, author bios and websites, and book and grant proposals. Students will learn the many ways in which writers are published and will create a set of tools to introduce themselves as writers to the literary world. The class will meet with working writers, editors, and reviewers; research grants and literary publications; and complete a number of written projects. Course is restricted to Creative Writing majors/minors and English majors. Others can enroll with an instructor's signature. Prerequiste: WRIT 3000 Instructor: Kate Kysar
