Course Description
A merging of sound and image, this cross curricular course of Studio art and Digital media becomes an experimental fusion of musical sound and visual art. Students will compose sound arraignments using audio digital media and make visual art that connect to each other. The sound and image develops and becomes the basis for making unique and thought-provoking works of art that integrate each other, or stand alone. The audio media such as Garage Band and Mixcraft will be used in the DMA lab. The making of drawings or paintings will be made in the painting studio. It is not necessary to read music or know the sound media for the course but a musical background is an advantage. To have knowledge of the formal elements of design, line, form, space, and color is important, hence the pre req. of Art 1130 0r 1140; or permission of instructor.
