Course Description

Practical ideas for use at your school on observing and interpreting animal behavior. Practice hands-on observation techniques used by researchers in the field to observe animals who live with and around us. Explore the behaviors of exotic animals on a guided tour of the Como Zoo and Conservatory. Focus on ways to refine students' observation skills, encourage appreciation for the diversity of behaviors in the animal kingdom, and realize the challenges in interpreting those behaviors. Target audience: teachers 3-12; interpreters.
