Abstract
This capstone is a curriculum writing project integrating language arts with social studies. The Minnesota Department of Education Standards are used as a guide. The curriculum I wrote as part of this capstone is written using the Reader's Workshop Model. The goal of this capstone is to examine the quantity and quality social studies in the classroom and to suggest ways to increase social studies when class instruction is found lacking.
