Abstract
The research in this project addressed, does technology enhance student learning? It documents a World War II unit used in an 8th grade class and the different technologies used during the unit. The capstone covers the students' prior knowledge and compares it with their knowledge after the unit. It also includes observations made during the lessons, how the students performed on the unit test and analyses of a survey on technology. The author looks at all of the data, both positive and negative, and concludes that technology does enhance student learning. However, the technology needs to be used effectively. In order of teachers to use technology effectively they need three things: time, training, and confidence in technology.
