Abstract
The research question addressed was what do fine arts teachers need to know about local grants? The answer resulted a curriculum design for an online professional development course for grant proposal writing. The course design applied the grant application processes used by a local arts council to grant programs everywhere. Inductive logic, constructivist education theory and the Instructional Systems Design model guided the curriculum development. The author documented what may be standing between fine arts teachers and successful grant proposal writing, offered an analysis of instructional problems associated with the topic, identified instructional goals and included best practices in the final digital course outline.
