Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, What impact on students' perceptions of engineers does increased exposure to female role models in engineering fields have when measured over four weeks? The motivating factors for this capstone were the statistics showing women under-represented in engineering and the author's own science, technology, engineering, and mathematics course boy to girl ratio. This capstone documents one teacher's attempt of ways to increase exposure to women engineers. The author documents the details about how to increase exposure to females and uses related research literature to construct meaning and validate the study.
