Abstract
A study of education advocacy organizations in Minnesota conducted via personal interviews of leaders as well as website document analysis. The results reveal the problems organizations are trying to solve, and the strategies and methods used to influence state funding for public education challenges and successes are highlighted, as well as the points of agreement between the data sets. Audiences for this study are broad, including the advocacy organizations themselves, legislators, parents, and ordinary citizens, who have a vested interest in public education whether they know it or not. Education advocacy organizations have been infrequently studied, so recommendations for future research area also included.
