Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, how do I integrate different service coordination methods and models into my current model to improve my process and to better serve families of children with special needs within the program? It documents an early childhood special education teacher's design of a service coordination framework. This framework is based on a family-centered philosophy. The author researched different service coordination models and trainings provided by other states. The framework is designed for an initial service coordinator who is with a family through initial intake and referral through completion of the evaluation and writing of the individual family service plan (IFSP). The author developed resources and forms to use throughout this process for both families and the service coordinator.
