Abstract
This capstone examines how curriculum can help reluctant readers in the classroom. The project's main focus is research based strategies that can help increase the engagement of reluctant readers in the classroom. Specifically the units of study are lessons using front loading, text selection, and role playing to help increase engagement in text.
