Abstract
This capstone is a case study following one school's journey to becoming a magnet school. Through this capstone project I documented every step that this school has taken in preparation for opening its doors as a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) magnet school. Through my research I was able to identify key factors that indicate whether a magnet school will be successful. I also used my research to determine what a school needs to do during the planning, implementation, and sustaining phase of developing a magnet school. This capstone shares what was successful for us as well as what we learned along the way.
