Abstract
The research question addressed is, how can I integrate multiple intelligence pedagogy into a middle school civil war curriculum? This capstone is a curriculum design that integrates multiple intelligences with Bloom's taxonomy employing the authors state standards. The authors focus is on the civil war but noted that these learning theories can be applied to many varieties of subject areas. Key influences include peers, former and current students, professional training, and authors such as Gardner, Heacox, and Bloom. The method of study was qualitative research and the collection of best practices utilizing multiple intelligence theory and differentiation. The author developed lessons to be taught to eighth grade middle school social studies students. The result of the curriculum introduces a more engaging and comprehensive method of teaching.
