Abstract
The research question addressed is: in what ways will the Enrichment Triad Model and Type III activities impact gifted middle school students? The motivating factor for this capstone was to implement an appropriate educational model for gifted students with the middle school philosophy. A key factor for this capstone was the large body of work by Joesph Renzulli, a leader in gifted and talented education. The author administered the Interest-A-Lyzer and the Learning Styles Inventory to assist students in determining Type III activities. Students participated in Type III activities to conduct methodological inquiry. Students achieved success as they conducted primary research, prepared exhibit boards and presented their projects to an authentic audience.
