Abstract
I believe parent involvement is fundamental to a child's education. Due to numerous changes in mathematics instruction, a need for up to date parent resources exists. In order to provide my students and their families with beneficial resources, I decided to focus my capstone on parent involvement in mathematics. First I surveyed my students and their parents to determine specific areas of need. Next I created eight parent guides that coincide with my current math curriculum, Connected Mathematics Project, CMP. These parent guides communicate current content being studied, educate parents on the content methods, and demonstrate applications to their daily lives at home. Ideally the parent guides will improve parent involvement in mathematics at home.
