Abstract
The research questions addressed are, what effect does dual immersion schooling have on native language students and what effect does dual immersion schooling have on non-native language students. This capstone details the benefits and challenges of dual immersion education for native and non-native language students. The researcher uses a questionnaire and a phenomenological approach to investigate how native and non-native language students experience dual immersion education. With supportive literature, the author concludes that the benefits of dual immersion education outweigh the challenges, with three themes identified as positives, and only one theme identified as a weakness.
