Course Description
People have long been fascinated by great apes. Investigate the many conservation issues that surround these primates, from the bushmeat crisis and pet trade to the current Species Survival Plans. Learn the influences of geography in their survival and explore great ape behavior. Discover ways to integrate great apes into your curricula, while getting an up-close look at Como's primate ambassadors including gorillas of the new Gorilla Forest exhibit! Enhance your observation skills while experiencing primate enrichment and watching a training demonstration as well. Target audience: K-12 educators. LOCATION: Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, 1225 Estabrook Dr, St Paul, MN.
