Course Description
Help your beginning readers develop a working knowledge and conscious understanding of how language works. As we prepare students for literacy and success in beginning reading, they need to know how to apply these phonological skills. Learn how to incorporate explicit instruction for strategies into lessons that assist students in developing these early skills. Practice a variety of learning activities to help students notice, think about, and manipulate sounds and written language. NOTE: Offered in partnership with Learning Bridges. Please register one week prior to course start date to ensure receipt of any information that may be sent. Target audience: educators K-12. Instructor: Learning Bridges faculty to be announced.
