Uncover the mysterious connection between plants, people, and culture. Essential to human survival, plants provide oxygen, transportation, food, shelter, medicine, myth, and ritual to people around the world. Using the vast and unique plant collection of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, journey through the gardens to discover some of the important roles plants play in the environment and human societies. Leave this class with ideas and resources to help you introduce students to the exciting fields of economic botany and ethnobotany. Target audience: educators K-12.
