Changing any significant element of formal public education is like pushing a river- the flow of the status quo is very strong. Examine the history and results of various national and local K-12 school reforms, especially those of the last decades of the 20th century. Gain an understanding of the change process and of several reform frameworks. Examine the leadership challenges school reform poses for teachers and administrators. Target audience: administrators, teacher leaders K-12.
