Course Description
This course is intended to help students develop the undestandings of schools and teaching from historical, philosophical and sociological perspectives. Students will read and discuss a variety of foundational philosophical texts and write their own philosophy of education. They will study the histroical development of public schooling in the United States. They will examine a variety of current issues in public education and select one for in depth study.
