Course Description
This course is intended to equip teachers with the technical understandings and professional skills necessary to successful implement creative dance and drama activities in the classroom. Units of study include a historical review of the development of this particular performance form, an analysis of sequential lesson construction strategies and techniques for classroom management. Teachers completing the course will be able to add this useful instructional methodology into their classrooms, either as a major part of a dance/performance instruction or as a component of instruction in other subjects. This course is taught online. Where practical there may be one or two F2F meetings on campus.
