Goals: To introduce students to the Jewish world by putting them in touch with authentic Jewish texts, experiences, values, and insights, and by enabling them to compare Judaism with their own ways of living and believing. Content: Analysis of the uniqueness and tragedy of Jewish history, issues of Jewish identity, the role of Jewish law in the life of the community. Taught: Annually. Credits: 4
