Course Description
Goals: A course designed to help Hamline students confidently navigate the job and internship search, develop a personal brand, and gain the professional skills necessary to compete in today’s job market. Content: In this course, students will develop their personal brand and learn how to market their skills to potential employers. Students will increase their confidence and will develop professional skills. Topics covered will include job and internship search strategies, networking, resume and cover letter development, interviewing, employer research, financial management and more. In addition, a variety of guest speakers will present on topics of expertise. Students will learn the importance of professionalism in the workplace and will be encouraged to demonstrate professional behavior in the classroom. Taught: Annually, J-term (Winter) Prerequsitie: This course is primarily designed for Juniors and Seniors Credits: 4
