Course Description
Goals: This course acquaints students with fundamental concepts and theories of the physiological responses to exercise. Content: Topics covered include oxygen consumption, exercise metabolism, cardiorespiratory adaptations, thermoregulation, hormonal responses, exercise nutrition, body composition, and adaptive responses to modes of both endurance and strength training. Taught: Once per year Prerequisite: BIOL 3200 or instructor permission NOTE: Students must concurrently register for a lecture and a corresponding 0-credit lab section of this course. Credits: 4
