Course Description
Goals: To examine approaches to gender issues, the role of women in politics, and the impact of feminism from a comparative perspective. To consider development and importance of women's organizations worldwide. Content: Current research and theories about women and politics. Examination of the role of women in politics in various regions of the world such as Latin America, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe as well as the United States. Taught: Annually. Prerequisite: PSCI 1430; World Politics is recommended. Credits: 4 credits
