Course Description
This course is the pilot version of the new Introduction to Professional Writing and Rhetoric course, which introduces students to the theoretical principles and practical applications of writing in a range of professional genres. This course will count towards the new Professional Writing major/minor to launch in Fall 2014. This course counts as the professional writing requirement for business majors. For English majors without the professional writing concentration, the course can count as a survey towards the requirement of two survey courses. The course cannot take the place of the one literature survey (12xx) required for the English Minor and for the Creative Writing Minor. Sophomore status or higher recommended. ENG 1110 (or equivalent) prerequisite.
