Course Description

The MESTA Conference Course is designed for earth science teachers who attend this annual professional development event to process, apply and transfer their experience to classroom practice thereby increasing its value to them personally and professionally. Attendance at any professional conference can be greatly enhanced if teachers are allowed to reflect on the details of their learning from presenters and colleagues and are charged to directly plan its use in future lessons. The goal of this course is to improve the quality of earth science instruction to benefit students by transferring new knowledge and strategies from the conference into classroom practice.
