Course Description
This course is one of two courses on literacy methods in the elementary classroom. This course focuses on literacy practices for students in an elementary classroom environment. In this course, you will gain knowledge of literacy practices to use with elementary students to create literate environments that foster literacy development, culturally relevant/sustaining practices, and critical literacy engagement. Additionally, through a clinical field experience, you will observe, analyze, engage, and co-teach in an elementary literacy classroom.
