Course Description
The purpose of this course is to build capacity to apply health education best practices to typical elementary classroom situations, as well as to develop & hone the following skill-sets for teaching health: • Teaching and applying the National Health Education Standard Skill-Sets • Assessing student health skill needs • Understanding critical youth health issues • Accessing valid health education sources • Responding to sensitive health education questions and challenges
