Course Description
The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding of the policies, procedures and instruments used in assessing English language proficiency and the academic competence of ELLs. Because testing affects all aspects of the ESL students' education, it is crucial that teachers and student advocates are knowledgeable about testing issues when making pedagogical decisions that involve their students.
