Course Description
Goals: This course will expose students to the wide variety of development and fundraising activities that are critical for nonprofit growth and sustainability. Content: Starting with why individuals, foundations and businesses give to philanthropy, course will include types of gifts, fundraising programs, special events, and grant writing. Special emphases on program goals, outcomes assessment, marketing, and public relations will provide an underlying theme throughout the course. Students will work on actual projects with community partners throughout the course. Prerequisite: NPFT 1010 (grade of C- or better), or consent of the instructor Credits: 4
