Course Description
Goals: To introduce students to current perspectives on major forms of psychopathology; classification, assessment and diagnosis; and etiology, course, and treatment of disorders. Content: Various forms of psychopathology (e.g., anxiety disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders) understood within a bio-psycho-social framework; etiology, course, and treatment of disorders; issues in classification, assessment, and diagnosis; contemporary issues in mental health and mental illness. Taught: Every semester Prerequisite: PSY 1330 or equivalent (grade of C- or better) Credits: 4
