Goals: To survey British literature after 1789 in its cultural and intellectual contexts. Content: Selected works by authors such as Mary Wollstonecraft, William Wordsworth, Jane Austen, Robert Browning, Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf, and Tom Stoppard. Taught: Annually.
