Course Description
Goals: This course includes an introduction to nonprofit governance and policy structures, with emphasis on the legal, regulatory, and financial aspects of managing nonprofit organizations. Content: Board development, governance, strategic planning, policy making, federal and state reporting requirements, crucial aspects of financial structures and audits, regulatory compliance, and record keeping. Students will work on the processes for creating, growing, and sustaining a nonprofit organization. Prerequisite: NPFT 1010 (grade of C- or better), or consent of the instructor Credits: 4
