Course Description
Goals: To introduce students to the basic concepts of physics to develop skills in formulating and solving both theoretical and experimental physics problems in the areas of optics, circuits, waves, and heat using calculus. Content: Topics include waves and sound, electricity and magnetism, DC and AC circuits, and optics. Taught: Fall term. Prerequisites: PHYS 1150 or 1230, and MATH 1180 or by permission of the instructor. NOTE: Students must concurrently register for a lecture and a corresponding 0-credit lab section of this course. Credits: 4
