Course Description
Goals: Reinforce fundamentals of music and develop a basic knowledge of tonal harmony. Content: Fundamentals of music notation and systems, introduction to analysis, sight-singing, and aural training including computer-based instruction. Course work requires basic piano skills. Taught: Annually, fall term Note: In addition to the regularly scheduled class time, there is a required one hour per week solfege lab. Meeting time will be determined at the start of the term. Credits: 4
