Course Description
This course presents teaching methodologies suitable for a variety of teaching contexts that are based on language acquisition research and best practices in reflective teaching. Principles of planning activities and lessons using authentic materials, guiding language acquisition through interactive activities, and assessing learning are included. Teaching to promote success with 21st century skills is emphasized. Candidates apply these practices in their teaching contexts through action research, exploratory practice, or supervised teaching. They identify a critical question of personal significance for their culminating professional project. Credits: 4
