Learn more about brain injury from concussion to traumatic brain injury and how they affect K-12 school performance, including measures used to assess degree of injury. Topics: How to accommodate these injuries, responsibilities of the school to facilitate learning across settings (hospital, home, classroom); the roles of coaches, teachers, and school personnel in accommodating concussions; and how to interpret medical reports and recommendations from doctors to return to school of play for athletes. Explore classroom instructional strategies. Become familiar with MN special education criteria for traumatic brain injury.
