In this Issue and JSR Transition Updates
In this issue of the Journal of Scriptural Reasoning, the first part consists of two essays that further scholarly reflection on the nature and purpose of scripture. In the second part, three authors attempt to do—to practice—scriptural reasoning (SR) without being in the same room together. The final part of this issue was intended to be its own special issue on animal ethics, however, due to various delays due to the pandemic, it was decided that Geoffrey Claussen’s critical and in-depth response to Aaron Gross’s The Question of the Animal and Religion could stand on its own. This is also the final issue of the JSR under Editor Dr. Jacob Goodson. We are grateful for Dr. Goodson's devotion to the JSR and are honored to explore his own work on Scriptural Reasoning as the subject of our next issue in Vol. 21, coming out by Fall 2025. We appreciate the patience of our readers as the Journal of Scriptural Reasoning is in transition to our new digital home at Hamline University. We hope to soft re-launch the journal Summer 2025.Introduction
