Abstract
The author created a project that teaches students about environmental issues around water use in Minnesota. This project answers the question, “How can art be used to enhance environmental education?”. The author uses principles of art and art education to teach students about the state of water in Minnesota, the many challenges it faces, and several potential solutions for addressing pollution and overuse. Students complete art-based projects and assignments to address issues surrounding natural science, sustainability, and water use while adhering to state science standards.
