Abstract
Research has demonstrated that online-games engage students learning a foreign language. It has a range of data collection, communication skills, brain activities and literacy acquisition benefits. The website designed for this project focuses on using the Chinese online-game sets to motivate students to learn Chinese. Multiple intelligences have been implemented in the online-game learning with a number of subjects. For example, math and science. However, the research on how to bring the online-game to the classroom for a foreign language, especially, Chinese learning is limited, let alone the challenge of finding online-games for Chinese learning. This project involved creating a website, which has forty-eight online-games that link learning topics to engage students learning Chinese through playing the online-games.The project will primarily be used in a high school setting, but is published for any teacher and student who wants to learn Chinese through the online-game playing. The goal of the project is to help them easily find a set of online-games that are good for leaning Chinese according to the curriculum topics and world language standards.
