Abstract
The purpose of this project was to analyze the impact communication and collaboration between special and general educators have on student achievement and school culture through a literature review. Additionally, the project was implemented to evaluate how different forms of communication can be used to begin to bridge the communication and collaboration gap that currently exists in a large-scale suburban school setting. The literature review defines and examines communication and collaboration and their implications in various settings, further specifying an educational setting. Furthermore, this project establishes meaning for the author, both professionally and personally, and its applications as well as future implications.
