Abstract
The research question addressed in this capstone is, how can the Thinking Through Geography strategies be modified and adapted to be included in my high school human geography curriculum? This author struggled to find strategies for teaching human geography to high school students, but found David Leat's (2001) Thinking Through Geography strategies which was created to help British teachers teach and British students learn geography and thinking skills. This capstone includes eight sample lessons created to focus on the thinking skill of classification and the Minnesota state high school social studies standards for human geography.
