Abstract
The research and subsequent paper came directly out of my experiences as a k-12 student, teacher education student, and teacher. The paper covers the chronological research of gender bias in introductory teacher education texts beginning in the 1970's. My research utilized a content analysis tool developed by Myra and David Sadker in 1980 to analyze two current introductory teacher education texts through the lens of gender bias. My findings indicate that while much ground had been covered in creating diversity related curriculum tools, the research and inclusion of gender fairness in such texts has stagnated.
