Abstract
This study explores literacy coaching within a reading interventionist position. The methodology includes shadowing a reading interventionist, interviews with the reading interventionist, an interview with a team of teachers and the site administrator. Additionally, there are transcripts of interviews and anecdotal observations and reflections made by the researcher. Conclusions from the study support literacy coaching in a reading intervention position or reading specialist job. [The author] explores the multifaceted job of a Literacy Coach and how being flexible, available, and collaborative leads to the success of this job.
