Abstract
This paper focuses on the question: How do eighth grade science students respond to the daily use of brain-based teaching techniques? To assist in answering this question, the author reviews the findings of cognitive scientists, educators, and synthesizers of data in regards to brain research and its impacts on education. In order to increase the validity of this qualitative research project, Synan triangulates different data sources, including anecdotal, observational, and inquiry data. As the author generates all data collection techniques and interprets all of the data, she is the key tool or instrument in this action research project. .
